think we need to make coding slice 0..1 to allow text only; too much historical data here

manifestation

The advice I have from our terminology gurus is to use the Clinical Manifestation refset with a binding strength of Preferred. There isn't currently an explicit ValueSet resource in NCTS for this refset, so we could ask for one and/or use the implicit SNOMED ValueSet URI (http://snomed.info/sct?fhir_vs=refset/142341000036103 in the meantime.

Thanks Jim - does this relate to the clinical-finding-1 refset in any way? Would be more specific I guess ?

The refset ValueSets are just re-publishings of the SNOMED CT-AU refsets, which are all defined extensionally rather than by rules (i.e. can't be done by including other refsets/valuesets), so its hard to say what the relationship is.

i will need to have a chat with agency CI who are invested in this a bit and see what pans out with that discussion
