Feature request: horizontal scroll lock #32

I use APV to read pdf files on an 7" android tablet (running), in portrait 
mode.  The zoom function in APV allows me to maximize the viewing area, but I 
would have to adjust the placement of the text each time I scroll up or down 
the page.  This becomes tedious very quickly.  If we can have a horizontal 
scroll lock then the problem will go away.

Better yet: can we have two separate horizontal scroll locks -- one for the 
odd-numbered pages, and one for the even-numbered pages?

I neglected to mentioned that my tablet -- like many of the 7"+ tablets that 
will be coming out soon (but a lot more expansive than mine :-) does not have a 
Dpad, so scrolling by fingers is the only way to navigate the pdf files.

Which buttons do you have on your tablet ? Volume up/down ?

Hardware buttons:  volume up/down

A bit more detail, in case that matters: the tablet in question is a hacked 
Pandigital ereader, available from your local Bed Bath & Beyond (!).  It runs 
2.0; the hack simply removes the custom skin and allow users to use the native 
2.0:

There is now a user scripts that provide 'soft buttons' -- buttons on the touch 
screen -- for "back", "menu" and "home".  But no Dpad :-(

Volume up/down scrolling has been added to the source repository and will be in 
the next release.
