This could be very interesting as a prometheus exporter. Any thoughts on making one?

Indeed it has come to my mind, now the question is how do you imagine this feature ?

One of the options imagined:

Direct HTTP server (with port configuration of course) and regularly export the data? (with configurable time pooling)

And thanks for taking time viewing this library :)

direct http server, yeah.

time pooling wouldn't be needed as things like prometheus can deal with changing rates over time. Just a running count of each type of event seen since the process was started is probably enough?
