@MarquiseRosier Assigning this to you
The Flip Cards block uses the link target's title and description metadata as the content to display. If the content for the flip card needs to be updated, the referenced page's attributes will need to be updated accordingly.
To support card content that is distinct from the metadata field may have far reaching implications for content updates.
@bstopp the flip cards should use Teaser text field. This is how the configured on our current site. meta descriptions are used specifically for SEO and can sometime be keyword dense and longer. The teaser text allows us to have succinct and user friendly descriptions. This will need to be updated. Also if the teaser meta-data was not synced originally. It will need to be.
I don't see any of the referenced pages having that metadata field defined. And it does not look like that field is in the index, which would be required to make it available to the block 🤔
@bstopp it should be included for all pages. The page properties and metadata should match what is on our live site. We don't want to be losing important meta data through the migration. Especially not metadata which is actively used to render components on our site.
@colinvlasak do you folks have a place where all of this is stored for us to easily port over; otherwise we'd have to go site by site correcting the titles/descriptions because we imported what was available in the metadata. Ideally the metadata title/description would match any kind of rendering; as what would show up on say Instagram/Twitter and our platform would be different from the internal system.
^^ Alternatively; If there's no way for us to be given these properties easily, I think this could be a good exercise as it's only a handful of sites that need this correction. Can somebody from Stericycle go through the pages effected; should be ~5-15 pages that need a description, title row corrected for the flip cards to render properly; after those corrections a publish should fix the title/description in query-index and thus the flip cards
@MarquiseRosier just to clarify we want to have the meta title and description that was imported over still exist within the page properties.
In addition to this we need the Teaser Properties (title, text, image) to be included in the page properties. This widget should then pull in the teaser details from the Teaser Properties and not the meta data (it could use meta-data as back up if teaser is not listed - this is how the site currently works). These fields serve two different purposes on our site. Meta data is for SEO (longer and keyword dense), teaser info is more direct and to the point (more user friendly copy). Can we ensure that this is configured properly?
@rwcsrichardspencer is there a way to pull all of the teaser meta data from AEM and the associated pages so that Adobe can import it? I believe there are other page properties still missing correct? Could we group that in with this?
@colinvlasak Can we close this ?
@jindaliiita @MarquiseRosier This has not been fixed so can not be closed. We need to ensure teaser text pulled into our pages and this component uses the teaser text to populate the description.

@colinvlasak How we can pull this content ?
@jindaliiita the teaser content is a property within all of our existing pages on our live site. Is there an easy way for you to import this data across all pages into EDS? If not can we manually add it to all pages and then have the component pull it in?
Description text when you flip tiles does not match live site. Looks like it isn’t pulling in teaser text
