Enhancement: Mack Press Release Template for Sharing URL on Social

Description: The current Mack Trucks news page renders images in a much lower resolution than the original file uploaded to the page. This makes it impossible for our marketing teams to share the article URL to social as the preview image is rendered in the low-res version. However, on the Volvo side this is not the case and we'd like to enhance the Mack website to bring over this improved functionality that is being used for Volvo.

• You can see on the website that the original image size is 2000 x 1205 pixels, but is rendering as 701 x 422 px. This rendering falls short of our minimum standard for social (at least 1080 x 1080 px). Social media aside, it does not look amazing on the website either.

• Investigating further, the template metadata doesn't have "Image" and even when we tried to add it in the above example, it didn't change the social sharing URL image quality.

Enhancement:

• Volvo Trucks News page has optimal image clarity and resolution for the social sharing preview that meets quality standards for sharing the URL directly.
• On the social media previews, it would be ideal if the " | Mack Trucks" can be dropped off the end of the Title preview. This makes the title clean, like it is on the Volvo preview.

Acceptance Criteria:

• The user experience for Mack Trucks press release content editors should be consistent in design template elements for Volvo Trucks press releases.
• The Mack Trucks Press Release preview image when shared directly on social media shall be a minimum standard of 1080 x 1080 px.
• The Mack Trucks Press Release template shall include OG image metadata tag.
• In the Title preview for social media sharing, content editors can either leave off " | Mack Trucks" on link Title previews, or the Template shall automatically update this.
• The user experience of viewing Mack Press Release articles on direct social media links should match the existing user experience and functionalities offered by Volvo Trucks Press Releases social media sharing previews.

@Kannan-CM Per Wendy's experiment, please try increasing page size to 11x17, increase table to 100%, and add image at the largest possible size.

@BeckyMedlin @ZoeBeykirch I don't think the image quality is an issue anymore. however, I would still like to have " | Mack Trucks" automatically dropped from the title when sharing.
