I have a questions, Why is necessary do the steps 1.2) Download Windows 10 installation image from Microsoft Software Download website ?

I guess it is not possible to use the pre-built VM images from MSFT? https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/
