New Save Initial Point Simulation Parameter #331

A new "Save Initial Point" parameter is added to the transient analysis settings.

Behavior: This parameter is enabled by default. However, if you choose to disable it, the initial calculation point at t=0 will be excluded from the scopes.

Why is this significant? There are instances where the initial currents or voltages calculated by SIMBA can be unusually high. Such anomalies can make it challenging to interpret the data from the scopes. A typical example of this situation is when a capacitor is directly connected to a voltage source, creating a short-circuit.

For a clearer understanding, here's a side-by-side capacitor current comparison of the default vertical scale with the "Save Initial Point" option both enabled and disabled, in the case of a capacitor directly connected to a voltage source:
