Ribbon indicator following the strum cursor #10

The general idea is to have a ribbon, line, or particles that follow behind the strum cursor as it moves around/through the guitar strings. This might be mostly a visual effect, but perhaps it would be an interesting way to increase depth perception.

This can be called the "Fruit Ninja" effect :)

Maybe this ribbon could use color or alpha to indicate the boundaries of the strumming zone. For example, any segment of the ribbon that falls within the strumming zone would be 50% brighter. Or, the ribbon's colors could match up with the green/yellow/red bars that appear on the outer panels.
