Also, what about accidentals? Blues and harmonic minor scales seem like they'd be tricky if a given chord limits all notes to be within that chords implied mode. I wonder...playing say, a minor chord, how do you distinguish between the user wanting to play melodies in the aeolian vs the Dorian mode?

Regarding different modes and expressions with the left hand: In the video, I mentioned the "single row" of chord selections, using the palm as the cursor. If that works out, it creates a good opportunity to use different hand orientations, hand motions, and even poses (like a fist, or fingers apart, or fingers together).
