Added PD chip CH224K (configured for 9V) and its footprint in https://github.com/aethersis/MaxTails/commit/069e06cfa3c1d49554754d342ad4185f289a75c3
@CoilProtogen There's still the option to use STM32G0 and we should consider it. The main problem I have with USB PD is that it requires USB C-C cable which I wasn't aware of. I personally don't have a single cable and a charger like this and afaik most people don't either (I asked many of my friends). USB A-C would be fine though.
For now I'm putting this on hold. I created a ticket #7 so we can discuss this and come to a final conclusion e.g. today evening.
The schematic should contain a power delivery chip (we decided for CH224K hardwired to 5V) and a 2S battery charger, ideally with built-in step up converter. The USB 3.0 connector should be provided in https://github.com/aethersis/MaxTails/issues/1 Make sure the current is limited to 2A so it doesn't overload chargers!
