I use afew+alot. I have a kill filter that removes the unread tag that matches a specific query. I can verify that afew is applying the tags correctly by using notmuch and alot. However, some of the emails that are killed by the filter remain in the maildir new directory and I don't understand why. Furthermore, when I search for those emails and retag them with alot (tag them as 'unread' and immediately after untag them as 'unread'), the emails disappear from the new directory. What is going on? Shouldn't notmuch remove those emails once they are untagged as unread by afew?
