Need a plugin which will allow users to use an input device such as a
barcode scanner or mag-stripe reader to enter data.

Initial implementation would focus on using a device acting in a keyboard
wedge mode (mag or barcode converted to characters as if manually typed). 
Perhaps a more robust implementation using fat-client software might be
needed in the future.
