Waveform, dragging start time #182

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
When dragging the start time of a subtitle, the end time changes also.
When dragging start time to the left, duration increases.
When dragging start time to the right, duration decreases.

It ONLY happens when the subtitle is selected in the waveform (painted in red).
When it's unselected (green), it works fine.
Dragging the end time works fine too.

(Subtitle Edit 3.3.9, Windows 8 x64)

Thank you very much. Regards...

It's supposed to work like that...

I mean, the DURATION of course should change, but why the end time?
I'd think dragging the start time should do the same as SHIFT+RIGHT CLICK:
changing the start time and the duration, not the end time.

In fact, the help says this: "Mouse drag left/right border of subtitles
(adjusting start or end time)". Why would it change the end time when I'm
dragging the start time?

It's still hapenning.
I made a video showing the problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WzU7cgyIEiY
You'll see that it works fine with the 1st subtitle (in green), but not with
the second one (in red).

I tried with 3.3.10 rev. 2214.
The video is a MKV file.

OK, I see the issue now - you're running in 'frame' mode, right?
