Logo for R-Instat #1

I have been having discussions on a range of topics related to the help system and videos. I suggest they fit well here as issues and am starting with this one. In addition, Rachel and Myles, from Canada, will be joining the discussions and contributing to videos etc.

The first topic is a possible logo for R-instat. This is slightly related to the next issue, which concerns the website.

We currently have the same logo when running R-Instat as we did earlier - i.e. Instat Plus in dark blue. As we looked for possibilities we liked the "map" of Africa, used by ami, and in the campaign. We also like the globe with stuff out of Africa - again from the campaign - see the front page of the video. Could we have that, with perhaps a small R-Instat below? Ir even just the globe, or the "map" of Africa?

More ideas welcome.

If we use ADI with the map of Africa on the I in the Instat blue, SAMI might have to change colour (although it is a different blue it might look too similar). Would that be a problem?

By the way who did those logos? Could we use them again?

If not, does someone have the files from them for someone else?

Interested in any other ideas or thoughts on this, as well as colour schemes and fonts.

I guess we will need two logos eventually, one for ADI and one for R-Instat?

I don't think SAMI would want to change their logo colours.

I think @volloholic knows who did the original logo designs.

Ben did some of the logo stuff but others have worked on it too

Just to add that from here https://www.r-project.org/logo/ it seems like there would be no problem incorporating the R logo into our own logo, which I think we probably want to do for the R-Instat logo.
