Topic description
Create tables to track training records for staff and volunteers to avoid multiple, often conflicting, versions of spreadsheets and emails to track this important information. I envision a system with a staff table, a training lookup table, and a table to create entries connecting training information and type to a staff_id number. This would allow for flexibility in creating new training types as needed and to expand beyond the initial safety training types.
Potential Path
[ ] Create example tables using excel/Google Sheets for initial testing
[ ] Create an Oracle table in the appropriate schema. This can be made accessible to staff to view training history.
This creates a barebones structure that could be expanded upon in the future with things like an APEX application for training management, automated reminders, and scheduling through online applications rather than email chains and google sheets.
