Topic Description:
Specimen vouchers that represent unique or noteworthy records or uncertain identifications are collected and preserved at sea and returned to Seattle. Those specimens are then identified and documented by GAP taxonomists, and transferred to the UW Fish Collection for archival storage. These documented identifications have traditionally been stored in an ad-hoc MS Access database, which is not generally accessible to others. In addition, final identifications that differ from field identifications require updates to the RACEBASE.CATCH table.
Definition of Completion
Design and creation of a SPECIMEN_VOUCHER table in Oracle
Design a workflow to update the SPECIMEN_VOUCHER table as new voucher identifications are completed
Design a workflow to update RACEBASE.CATCH with new identifications as they are completed
