Adding @Ned-Laman-NOAA if he has input on these points:

• Location of the station progress template sheets for the 2023 GOA BTS for reference: G:\GOA\GOA 2023\Files for boats\Station Progression. @Ned-Laman-NOAA do you know where the actual station progress worksheets live?
• @Ned-Laman-NOAA: Do we have set leg dates for each vessel as of 3/8/2024 that I can work off of to create the station progress worksheet?

Here are some notes that I had from last year when making the spreadsheet. This information goes in the XXX.Assumptions tab:

• There are 4 non-fishing days at the start of the survey for mobilizations
• There are 2 non-fishing days at the end of the survey for demobilization activities
• Each leg has an anticipated 1 non-fishing day for weather/mechanical issues
• Each leg has an anticipated 1 non-fishing day for a mid-leg break
• The last day of each leg is assumed to be a 0.5 fishing day for transiting to port
• There is 1 non-fishing day in between legs for in-port break and staff ingress/egress.

For @Ned-Laman-NOAA , @MargaretSiple-NOAA , and @smcdermo. Are there any improvements to the spreadsheet that would be useful for FPCs that could be added this year? We I get confirmed leg dates, I'll create a draft spreadsheet for you to view.

Thank you Zack! I wasn't sure if this task list item was about the printed log (table style, in binder on bridge) or the station progress spreadsheet ("StationProgressTool_XXX_YEAR.xlsx"). My only notes from last summer about the latter were:

• it would be good to have instructions and/or progression #s about bonus stations
• An example row showing if we can use 0.5 in col B for a half-day of fishing (I think we can!)
• Not something to add, but I liked having the "Milestones and progress goals for each vessel" box in the Input/Assumptions tab to check station progress between legs. I just want to confirm that we can use that, to make sure we're on track!

This is a thing that I'm very disorganized about. I think that the most recent version (GOA 2023) of this progress spreadsheet is probably the one that should become the precedent copy we work from since we went over it extensively last year both precruise and during the action. I know that I altered by copy on the AKP to track bonus stations and a few other things so I'd like to pull up the field copy and compare with the original to see if I innovated anything worth keeping. Looking at this week, it might be best if we set aside some time to cowork this spreadsheet when we're all available and soon-ish.
