Data request: all NBS hauls #59

Closed BobMcCy closed 1 year ago

BobMcCy commented 1 year ago

Please produce an SQL script that will select all GAP bottom-trawl survey hauls in the NBS (2010, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022). I intend to use the script to calculate CPUEs for all benthic invertebrate taxa, with some exploration about the most appropriate taxonomic levels. If you prefer to produce the data, I require 0 catches and would like all fields from the haul and catch tables included. Thank you! Bob McConnaughey

Hi Bob! Yes, while these files have not yet been posted on FOSS (soon!), the NBS 2010, 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2022 (Note: not 2018) data are available to you on Oracle in the RACEBASE_FOSS schema! Check out the documentation for this here.

I'm sure you already know this, @BobMcCy, but the 2018 NBS data are not included in the FOSS dataset because they are not considered part of our standard, used for design-based-indices data. @Duane-Stevenson-NOAA: can I share the same data and notes I prepared for data request #43 for the 2018 NBS data?

Great! Thanks, Em!

Perfect! Here are the 2018 NBS data (plus a bit more) and metadata.

Anything else I can provide you with, @BobMcCy?

BobMcCy commented 1 year ago

No thank you Em!  I'll pull the 2018 data with sqlplus and compare my results with the data you've posted.

I appreciate your help very much...Bob
