support HTTP POST and PUT
config object instead of or as alternative to individual properties
configurable additional HTTP parameters (passed through to back-end route data sources)

configuration object and addtional HTTP parameters in 0.4.0. HTTP POST and PUT features were removed because there is no way to argue that they are trying to modify data on the server.
