how can i tell the username plugin is working? #12

i log in with my username so i can't send emails by default. from what i can see the plugin on the site is supposed to change that so following the instructions i've installed it to the plugin folder and enabled it in the config.php.

according to the logs it's still using user instead of user@domain.

is there another step on top of this?

Not sure if you actually require this plugin, as this kind of behavior can be adjusted using the configuration settings described at:
