Adding qualified variables in the UI is broken #67

The UI only seems to save out the first qualified variable property, even after adding new ones.

It seems to happen if adding a new variable that comes alphabetically before another property (after it has been sorted), so it looks like a problem that occurs during/after the sorting operation.
