Watermark removal breaks PDF for poppler #4

Dear Alexander,

I've removed a 3-line watermark from this book PDF (Creative Commons license).

The scrubbed version renders correctly in mupdf, but is empty in all poppler-based PDF viewers.

May you please help me figuring out, why?
