Suggested changes to draw in more users

Tweaks in presentation of the documentation.

General principles:

• Require users to read and do as little as possible to create their own interactive version.
• Hide as many of the inner workings as possible, but make easily accessible.

There are probably additional tweaks, but those can be added in a future update.
