clicking depth checkbox does not update the blending mode drop down

even though the blending mode is changing the dropdown is not being updated. may be a result of a merge conflict i 'fixed'

not a bug, turns out it retains the blending mode and there is a difference between additive and normal ¯_(ツ)_/¯
