Jobs queue #1498

Can someone share more information about the Jobs queue in [SETTINGS] > SYSTEM INFORMATION In a new server im setting up I get:

Runner active: NO Jobs in queue: 0

And when I press the button to start the runner I get: Runner failed to start! Message

Can someone explain what the Runner does? And how to diagnose why its not running?

Ok seems to be related to PHP version. It run with php 8.0 but fails with 8.1
