Possibility to lock down "username" to be email only during creation? #381

We are generating a password and want to make sure that the field is stored as an email instead of a "username"

I'm not sure we have any plans to provide such a feature. I'll close this but we'll keep an eye on requests going forward to see who else may be interested. Thanks for the request!
