Plot persistence #148

Need to figure out a good way to turn on/off plot persistence so fluid subs and property changes can be directly compared.

I think it's OK to just add the un-subbed plots in a different colour, and have a second synthetic for the two versions.

I think I'd rather have persistence in the form of a 2D fence diagram that we can add 1D plots to. But that's a bigger job and can wait.
