Column skips and model jitters #97

In both the 3 panel synthetic plot and the single panel synthetic section, the default number of "column skips" in the earth model is set to 5. This reduces the level of jitter and chattery noise on the seismic, but it probably isn't the best way to treat this issue and we should be open to a better treatment. Good enough for now perhaps, but probably not as good as it could be.

Switched to g3, no longer relevant.
