pan past international date line #5

Is there any way to allow a pan across the international date line? I want to have a zoomed in view of Hawaii, including some erroneously placed experiments in the SW Pacific. But there's no way to show this view.

Yes, it is possible to do. There is a restriction that prevents the map from panning too far north, south, east or west. If the coordinates for the pan rectangle are adjusted, this would be possible.
