fix: unexpected folder deletion

changing the parameter direction from output to input stops that folder deletion

if the directory is not empty, it will update the users choice to contain a new empty folder that is empty with the form 20191212172012

Was it meant that a new folder will be placed in the directory and populated with the form 20191212172012?
