There are some duplicate tags in varying cases:

We might also want to consider consolidating some tags, but I'm the non-employee so let's start with cleaning up the above duplicates first.

yup.

• I think all tags should be lower case
• I think utah gis data are worthless tags and should be scrubbed
• I think if there is a singular and plural duplicate, the singular should be removed

Thinking ahead, what are some things we could do with tags? That might be helpful to figure out what we should do.

1. add the tags to the meta tags for SEO if that is still useful
2. build a related article widget driven by other tags contained by the article
3. ?

👋 I just got a notification for this thread because @todrobbins mentioned be way back ^^ I think I have met most of you? Anyway — I don't think I can be of much help in this thread, but I would like to hijack it 😃 to just say that I'd really love to have a regular geo / GIS folks meetup. I know of SLUG but I'm thinking more informal, like a biweekly / monthly geobreakfast / geolunch / geobeers. As Tod mentioned, I already do a monthly Geobeers with our OSM group, which you're all more than welcome at: https://www.meetup.com/OpenStreetMap-Utah/events/ltzkbpyxcbnc/ but open to other ideas as well.
