Provide a cost estimate for the set of apps described in the high-level requirements below:

Utah Active Transportation Interactive Map (high level requirements)

Purpose:

Provide the most up-to-date, mapped inventory of the multi-use pathway and on-street bike facilities, and proximate amenities/destinations (i.e. rec centers, school, grocery stores etc) and other context (AADT traffic volume and approximate speed limit -- or Level of Traffic Stress LoTS) Allow users to explore areas of interest to view bike-friendly transportation links, with full detail about the type of facility: class/subclass for on street bike facilities (e.g. buffered bike lane, sharrow route, etc), paved/non-paved for multi-use trails Allow users to use the interactive map to contribute geographic-specific edit suggestions to the map -- specifically new, updated, or missing links

Versions:

Desktop/tablet browser design Complementary native mobile app for iOS and Android (prompt user to obtain/open app?)

Extras:

Ability to zoom to a city, township, or zip code in Utah Ability to turn on a map layer of planned future bike facilities Ability to permit current location to be displayed on the map (blue dot) Trusted editors can make or accept edits (perhaps through AGOL) Edit history is tracked, perhaps using branched versioning Possible filtering functionality (show me routes that....)

Exclusions:

Point-to-point routing -- let's let Google continue to do that (IT scaling, liability issues)

Benefit Hypothesis

Provide a quote that will likely lead to more revenue.

Success

A more defined set of requirements with an associated ballpark estimate.

Sprint 4 Notes

As far as the atlas and the blue dot go, it was more of a curiosity/suggestion -- I was a little surprised that it would have been taken out without explicit direction to do so. If we move forward on the bike map app and there are synergies between coding the blue dot functionality into that new app and adding it back into atlas, I think that's how we would feel comfortable supporting that mini-project, i.e. indirectly.
