Insurance Drive Time analysis

Benefit Hypothesis

• Allow Dept of Insurance to leverage state-produced data to run network insurance coverage analyses in-house instead of relying on an outside provider
• To engage the Dept. of Insurance on the benefit of geospatial data and processes.
• To deliver a replicable process and a first round of results to quantify drive times between communities and health care resources.

Acceptance Criteria

• A repeatable process for calculating percent of population served by facility/provider by network by county.
• A first run of last year's data that is similar to the previous analysis (for validation of the process).
• An agreement/process for running the analysis on a yearly basis, with potential mid-year updates.
