file is crashing #645

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Loaded the attached file and read. Settings: night mode, auto crop, vertical
scroll. Adding chapter bookmarks and perhaps 100 highlights over first five
chapters. Crashes began, not seemingly prompted by any particular user
activity, just exiting spontaneously to home screen. Then, upon selecting app
in list of recent apps, file would reload to current position and all
highlights were there.

2. After recent crash on page 63, file would not load in app. Other apps (e.g.
Adobe Reader) would still open file. App would open other files. Found that by
holding finger on file name in library, was able to produce menu with "Show
book settings" option, and thereby reset display to default. Then file would
load in app with highlights intact.

3. Reset view to auto crop, file began to crash again. This time, used "Clear
Recent Data..." menu to select "Remove Book Settings". But discovered that is
not the same as resetting the "book settings" as given in menu in step 2!

4. File seems to have been removed from the "library", which seems not to be a
copy of the file maintained in another folder (like other readers), or a list
of file locations to display, but a list of files for which separate data such
as highlighting is maintained, is that correct? Found and opened the file from
local storage menu, but it looks like I have lost all my highlights and
bookmarks for that file! Where is that data stored? Can that be recovered?

5. File continues to crash.

Similar problem continues with other PDF files:

When reading, opening file, or highlighting, random "crashing" (closing of app,
but app remains in list of running apps). May occur a dozen times during a
reading session.

Various solutions sometimes work:

- deleting app from task list and re-entering application
- opening another file, then shutting down app, then restarting and opening
problem file
- cold-booting device;

Attached are complete contents of location you cited.

Sorry I cannot be more specific as to reproducing or troubleshooting.

Please let me know if I may provide some other information or test procedure.

Andre
