Are you using stock firmware or some mod?

Just the stock Lenovo S920 firmware
Android version 4.2.1
Build S920_ROW_S117_130815
Baseband version
S920.V23,2013/05/22 00:19

It is however rooted but this shouldn't have any impact

There are a number of files there - which one should I download and install?
The Lenovo S920 has a MediaTek MT6589 / ARM Cortex-A7 cpu and I can't identify
the appropriate .apk file.

I downloaded the plain ebookdroid-2.1.0-rc6-r3576.apk file and installed it and
the menu now shows. However I would be grateful if you told me which one of the
more specific versions I should download

You may also try arm7 (which is matched on market to your device) and
arm7-cortext-a15-neon. But we don't sure about real advantages in last case.
