What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start app
2. Start service (successful)
3. Leave phone idle for ~5 minutes

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
 - Expected: notifications are sent to / can be sent from my gtalk account
 - Instead: notifications and control stop after ~5 minutes. Application still running on phone, required manual "stop" and "start" to get things going again.

What version of TalkMyPhone are you using?
2.03-beta

Pleae provide any additional information below.
 - HTC Desire
 - Android 2.2
 - TalkMyPhone app running from SDCard (have now moved to phone, will report back if this fixes anything)
 - Rom: DeFroST 4.6

Try to update to the 2.05-beta?

I have updated to the 2.05-beta and after sometime, I lose connection to send
commands to the phone. Not sure how long it takes or what could be causing it,
but the app still says it's running but I receive no response when I send
commands.

Isn't it the same as issue #51?

From the programmer point of view, it is, yes. But I leave the issue open
because otherwise another user (who does not know the code) will raise the same
issue. This situation actually happens for most issues.

Things improved a lot when I moved the app out of SD storage and onto the phone.

Connection may not be totally constant but I'd say (certainly comparatively)
it's acceptable or 'normal'.

It happens the same here with HTC Desire Andoid 2.2. After a while it gets
disconnected but even when talmyphone says I'm connected on the phone, the
account(jabber.org) appears as disconnected in gtalk. This happens over WIFI.

Thanks.
