No connection with 3g #67

HTC desire on Orange france with android 2.1 and TMP 2.05b

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start TMP with 3G
1b. TMP display Connecting in the notification bar
2.Wait for the usual error (TMP is not responding, close or wait ?)
3.Choose Wait
4. TMP message "Connection Failed"
5. TMP message "TMP stopped"

Although it works perfectly fine over wifi.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It should connect either with 3g or Wifi

I've got the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy I7500 on Virgin mobile France 
under Galaxo V1.6.3.4 and TMP 2.06.

same here.  it immediately tells me that the connection failed and the 
application has stopped.

@lydia1180: it doesn't seem to be exactly the same problem. In my case, I have 
to wait, like if the application was freezing while trying to connect. And 
after a while (30sec maybe more), I got the usual error (TMP is not responding, 
close or wait), if I choose "wait" I got the "Connection Failed" and "TMP 
stopped" messages (the application is still usable, it didn't crash)

I manage to make this soft connect over 3G... it's not TalkMyPhone fault, it's 
parameters issue.

I've got HTC Desire 2.2 on Virgin Mobile France, and there is the parameters to 
connect on gmail (create a dumb adresse on gmail, that only you will use).

And the parameters are :
- host : "talk.google.com"
- port : "5222" 
- service name : "googlemail.com" (and not "gmail.com", i don't know why it's 
not working with gmail.com and why it's working with "googlemail.com")

- login : "something@gmail.com" (you must use @gmail.com)
- password : "your_pass".

With this, it's working for me.

I just tried again, and it's now working !! :)
still on my Samsung Galaxy I7500 on Virgin mobile France under Galaxo V1.6.3.4 
and TMP 2.06-beta
