I do not promise anything on this one.
Even if I fix it, google does not officially give access to this "database".
Third party apps that update the outbox (that is the standard name for the
database you are refering to) are using a hack google has been mentioning in
their android developper blog:
http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2010/05/be-careful-with-content-providers
.html
So far, sms apps like SmsPopup are using this hack for updating the outbox (I
checked their code) but basically, what is said in this article is that this
code can break anytime with an API update from google...
I'll fix it with the same hack, we'll see if google change their mind...

No problem, every other sms client is populating the outbox, so a hack is
enough for me :-)

Please stop with those "+1 Me too" comments, they trigger useless mail
notifications.
Just star the issue, it has the same signification and it will show your
interest!

I updated the app from the appoke market.
I just used it to send a SMS with Gtalk and I got twice each notification ("SMS
sent" and "SMS delivered"). In my SMS client (I use handcent) I got the message
twice.
Has it been sent twice (I can confirm that as soon as my friend read the
message(s), I'll ask for more info) ? Or is that a bug caused by handcent ?
