What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install saymyname 2.5.4.6 and configure to use tts extended library. Select
Greek as the output language (although I'd expect the problem to appear with
other langs as well)
2. Have all saymyname at defaults. That is when someone calls, only his name
should be heard.
3. Receive a call.
Same issue on SMS reception. Instead of hearing only the number or sender's
name, one hears "Message from XXX".
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
1) on incoming call one should hear only "XXX" where "XXX" is the contact's
name. Instead something along the lines of "Incoming call from XXX" where XXX
is the contact name is heard.
2) Likewise, when receiving an sms one hears "Message from XXX" instead of
"XXX".
What version of the product are you using?
- saymyname: 2.5.4.6
- TTS service extended : 3.1
Please provide any additional information below.
I did not have a single issue with this combination (saymyname and tts service
extended) in all 3 phones in the family (HTC Magic with various firmwares up to
2.2, ZTE Blade running 2.1 and later 2.2 and my own Samsung Galaxy S, when
running 2.2). It is only on the last phone that after the official upgrade to
2.3.3 this issue appears, followed by force closes of tts service extended app,
at random times.
Any help will be very appreciated. I've seen Announcify, but unfortunately I
prefer saymyname for a number of reasons.
