Support Bluetooth #36

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
This is not so good when all around me hear the name of calling contact.

I use stereo bluetooth headset and want that program talk the caller name
only when headset is connected and automatically disables when it disconnected.

And will be very good to talk only in bluetooth headphones, not in internal
speaker.

I see the programs with that speak contact name only in bluetooth headset
and in internal device speaker others hear only ringtone. Can we do
something like this in Android?

P.S. I need to hear who is calling only when my device is in my pouch or
bag, but device can't detect my pouch :)

Yes it would be really nice, if that works.
I am really happy with my bluetooth-headset.

+ 3 I agree with above. I and a few others who use HTC desire with Bluetooth
headset also would love to hear the name called out in the bluetooth headset
only. Having the phone say the name when you are using the headset is a bit
pointless. Thanks for a great product though!

I will try to fix that in the next weeks, but I can't promise anything.

Sorry

Does announce work through bluetooth if you start "TTS Extended"-app and click
on Test?

work.

Sorry

Maybe you can look at Enhanced SMS & Caller ID app that can speak to a2dp
headset: http://www.appbrain.com/app/ekawas.blogspot.com

to bluetooth headset too, as I see in description.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to add Bluetooth on my own.
However, Ed Kawas (developer of Enhanced SMS & Caller ID) told me he will share
his secrets with me in a few months (when he earned enough money to pay his
Nexus One).

Until I'm able to implement Bluetooth too, you should install Ed Kawas app. ;)
It's available here: http://www.appbrain.com/app/ekawas.blogspot.com

Sorry

The author of Tell2Me will help me a little bit. :)

In the meantime you could try this version:
http://code.google.com/p/roadtoadc/downloads/detail?name=SayMyName_2.2.6.9.9.9.2
_ALPHABETAGAMMA.apk

...and enable discreet mode. Maybe Bluetooth works now?

_ALPHABETAGAMMA.apk

How is it doing?

Watch out for a little text appearing at the bottom of the screen. Tell me what
it shows.
