Yes it would be really nice, if that works.
I am really happy with my bluetooth-headset.

+ 3 I agree with above. I and a few others who use HTC desire with Bluetooth
headset also would love to hear the name called out in the bluetooth headset
only. Having the phone say the name when you are using the headset is a bit
pointless. Thanks for a great product though!

I will try to fix that in the next weeks, but I can't promise anything.
Sorry

Does announce work through bluetooth if you start "TTS Extended"-app and click
on Test?

work.
Sorry

Maybe you can look at Enhanced SMS & Caller ID app that can speak to a2dp
headset: http://www.appbrain.com/app/ekawas.blogspot.com

http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.igroksolutions.TellMe can speak via a2dp only
to bluetooth headset too, as I see in description.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to add Bluetooth on my own.
However, Ed Kawas (developer of Enhanced SMS & Caller ID) told me he will share
his secrets with me in a few months (when he earned enough money to pay his
Nexus One).
Until I'm able to implement Bluetooth too, you should install Ed Kawas app. ;)
It's available here: http://www.appbrain.com/app/ekawas.blogspot.com
Sorry

_ALPHABETAGAMMA.apk
...and enable discreet mode. Maybe Bluetooth works now?
