discreet mode not working

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configuring program to ring in the earpiece
2. Silencing the ringer from ringing in the speaker
3. (See above steps)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The phone rings both the ringtone and name from the phone`s speaker.

What version of the product are you using?
The latest from the Android Market.

Please provide any additional information below.
