Saying callers name on SMS and calls

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Received SMS and phone calls- only says contacts full name on some, the 
first name on others. For instance some say 'work john smith' others say 'work'
2. No ringtone during call
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
1. On earlier versions there was the option to set 'say name to * white space' 
but not on newer versions. Is this part of the cause?

What version of the product are you using?
Newest from Android Market, downloaded today. Otherwise, a fantastic product!

This option is still present. It's now called "Read name till..." or something 
like that in Advanced Settings.

By the way, SayMyName now reads nicknames too. Maybe that's why it reads just 
first name sometimes.

Tom, thanks for your reply. I've seen those settings, read first name only and 
read to special character, and both are UNTICKED - this only happens on some 
contacts, others read first AND last name, some first name only. Any other 
ideas?

Sounds like you've set a nickname for those contacts. Look at your addressbook 
if my guess is correct.
