Straight-key input #2

File this one on the wish-list. Straight-key input would have a single button,
using short taps, long taps, short pauses, medium pauses, and long pauses to
input dots, dashes, inter-dot-dash spaces, inter-code-group spaces, and
inter-word spaces.

I understand modern morse code keys tend to have a user setting that sets the
length of a dot, and this is used to interpret whether each tap is meant to be
short or long, and standardizes the output into a standard length dot or dash.
This would certainly be easier than trying to make the program adaptively
interpret each one as a dot or a dash.

This version would probably also benefit from optional audio feedback (beeps).

You'd still need a shift/caps-lock, and a delete. Probably also an option to
trim the last space from the text field when the inputmethod is closed (because
if you stop to think about what you're typing, you'll wind up with a space
character at the end of your text).

Yes, beeps would be nice! Only fingers learn Morse - maybe mind would learn too with sound?
