ANSI colour coding not working with printf in bash 3.2 (shipped with macOS) #68

macOS has frozen the default /bin/bash at 3.2.57 (even as at Monterey) due to licensing.

This ancient bash doesn't display any of the printf output with ANSI colour codes.
