This eliminates the need for any configuration in most cases. If there is no configuration this new MaxCube discovery is run.

@marcelrv That's a great contribution. Many thanks for this. I am just waiting until this fork's current pull request is merged into the main repository. Once this is done, I will merge your pull request immediately. I just want to avoid to mess up the current pull request (even if it is already some kind of).
