A major reboot of Seq24. Current release 0.97.0 (2021-05-13), native JACK MIDI, Song recording, playlists, and a Windows/Qt version. For fresher code, see the Seq66 project. Note that trigger and mute-group-in-MIDI-file formats have evolved! Back up your work!

Feature request: data panel parameter display and navigation #131

If a sequence has only control data events in it, could it be made so that opening its editor window switches the data panel from displaying empty Note On to display that one control paramater?

If a sequence has multiple types of data saved in it, display Note On, unless there are no Note Ons, in which case display the first control parameter with data.

A quick method of selecting one of the control these would be handy. Maybe either making the name field like a dropdown menu? The type that could be scrolled up and down with the mouse wheel when the pointer is over. Or a button for a menu?

Dang, deleted my original reply (my damn cat is in my lap). In summary, I can do stuff now only if it is quick, due to another deadline. I think a dropdown showing the current Event and including only existing events would be a nice feature, and would probably give scrollability automatically. If it is easy, it will appear soon!

Thanks for the suggestions!

In the latest tempo track, there is now an extra button in the pattern editor to the right of the "Event" button. It shows only the events that are in the track. In none, the square is empty, otherwise it is filled black. Try it out and let me know of any issues.

That works, cheers :)

Weird, I still have that issue with the Breeze theme where I get "Invalid borders specified for theme pixmap.... line-h.png, borders don't fit withing the image, Trace/breakpoint trap. (I uncommented the offending lines yesterday in that theme file.)

Also, I need to fill in the Event text field with the type of the first event of "(no events)" or somesuch. What clarity the morning brings! :-D
