Hi, I was thinking that it would be cool to have a console or text UI based piano roll that you could program with only the keyboard. Could the cli mode of sequencer64 be a starting point for something like this? You could use ncurses.

There are some old DOS and other console based sequencers that are actually quite usable. But I think starting from something modern and open source like sequencer64 would be vastly preferable, then you don't have to write an entire sequencer just the text UI.

It would be cool however it would be a substantial rewrite, in my opinion it'd be better as a separate project. Also because sequencer64 can already run on low-spec systems, so it would be more of an experimental project.
