Getting project hash prior to service creation #162

There are some points in my templates where I need to know the project hash ahead of time. Is there some way we can know the hash prior to creating services?

Though I wish Google would give better status updates.

Unfortunately this is not the right place to vent about that :) It's a FAQ, and answers the question as things stand today.
