What change would like to see?
A dialog box to allow the management of the boards listed in the tools menu.
This should allow
the selection of which boards will appear in the menu and should show a
description of each
board. It would also allow the hiding of old boards by default.
Why?
To help deal with the growing number of boards in the menu and make it easier
to understand
what each means.
Would this cause any incompatibilities with previous versions? If so, how
can these be mitigated?
For people currently using an old board that would not be in the default
selection of shown
boards, this could be annoying. One mitigations is to always show the
currently active board in
the menu. Still, people with two different old boards will need to go into the
dialog and re-select
the boards they're using.
