Bar graphs to dot-plot or box-and-whisker #34

Bar graphs should be converted to a dot-plot format or to a box-and-whisker format to show data distribution. All box-plot elements (center line, limits, whiskers, points) should be defined.

The bars in our bar graphs (Figures 2c and 3f, Extended Data Figures 3, 5, and 6) do not represent averages / multiple measurements, but rather (single-measurement) total counts per knowledgebase; we believe that they are appropriate for the type of data displayed, and that the requested alternative formats (dot-plot, box-and-whisker) are inappropriate. Whiskers are used only on 3f, for the purpose of illustrating how these values change with a more permissive measurement strategy, and are clearly defined in the figure key and legend.
